Here it is!
The final, final edition of 'Christmas stocking prototype #1'. I am so happy with the outcome. Several things learned along the way.
Here is a picture with a shuttle for perspective.
The question of the day....will I continue obsessing over Christmas stockings? Or, is there another project calling my name?
I'm sure you've been wondering about our twelve step program......I'm ignoring the entire idea of tatting addiction. But, will need to remind myself sometime in the near future to breathe....oh, wait! That's what this addiction is all about. Breathe in, breathe out...tat!
Have a wonderful day!
John

Wonderful. Think how many more you could make before next Christmas. That would feed your addiction!!!
ReplyDeleteThe tatting alone makes this an heirloom piece, and with all the other preparation and thought you've put into this, it will always be special. Did you say you were going to make these as gifts for next Christmas?
ReplyDeleteFabulous!! Wonderful photo with the white mantel! I keep thinking how much WORK that lace was to tat, not to mention the hand-made stocking in those beautiful fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of display that so beautifully advertises 'tatting for today'. Christmas items never go 'out of style'!
Congratulations; another lovely project completed! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is stunning, beautiful idea, beautiful fabric combination, beautiful tatting!

It's so gorgeous, John!
ReplyDeleteJohn, the stockings are truly lovely! I love navy - (shhh - don't tell anyone, but it's my favorite color next to pink. . .). You may package those up and send them to me where I'll give them a loving home.
ReplyDeleteI think step three is okay as is. ;-) After all, this is an addiction we're dealing with.
That is one absolutely outstanding stocking!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou did a fabulous job! :)
