Chug, Chug, Chug...
Well, chugging along on the doily. The time of rings and space has now come to an end. The next two rounds are chains only.
I'm very happy with this so far....Except, It has begun to 'cup' a bit. I hope blocking will take care of that concern.
What can I do in the future to avoid the cupping effect? shorter blank space? shorter picots? longer picots? What are your thoughts?
Happy Day!

Chug, chug, chug... I had different thoughts when I first saw that appear on my computer screen, and it's not even 6 a.m.! ; )
ReplyDeleteWhen I have a piece that starts cupping, I pull out my steam iron and give it a shot of steam. It just about drives me crazy to not have my piece lie flat when I'm tatting. When I'm finished tatting, the blocking seems to take care of everything.
Your doily is beautiful!
Me too. Only I dampen the WIP and expose it to the Canadian Criminal Code... with a large tin of beans on top of that... : ))
